Wonderful Destinations

There were many applicants, but the final decision would have it, the Amazon, Iguazu Falls, Halong Bay, Komodo, the island of Jeju, Table Mountain and the underground river in Puerto Princesa have been chosen as the new Seven Natural Wonders the World. There have been thousands of people around the world via the Internet which, telephone and text messages have participated in the initiative launched by the New Seven Wonders Foundation to choose the new Natural Wonders. Two in South America, the Amazon and Iguazu Falls, and five other spectacular places in Asia and Africa: Halong Bay (Vietnam), Komodo (Indonesia), Jeju Island (South Korea), Table Mountain ( South Africa) and the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River (Philippines). The Amazon is a vast region of South America that includes the tropical rainforest of the Amazon River basin, the largest rainforest in the world and one of the most diverse ecoregions the planet. It covers eight countries: Brazil and Peru, with the largest, as well as Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Guyana, Venezuela, Suriname and French Guiana. Iguazu Falls between Argentina and Brazil Spread, plus near the border between Paraguay and Argentina These spectacular falls are formed by 275 jumps up to 80 meters in height that are fed by the flow of the Iguazu River.
