When they express their views about the Taj Mahal one would become speechless. They love to visit the Taj Mahal frequently. During their tour to India they visit the Taj Mahal from the dawn till the sunset. The Taj Mahal becomes more beautiful when seen through their mind. Most of them are connected to Agra only through the Taj Mahal and some of them have settled in the city of the Taj Mahal.

So lets read what the lovers of the Taj Mahal  say about this beautiful monument.

“I used to visit Taj Mahal once every week for a year. That is my connection with Agra.”

My Scribbling on the great Taj Mahal, Shah Jahan’s Masterpiece

Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India, has been attracting millions of tourists from all over the world and stirring and churning the imagination of people from all walks of life regardless of the cast, creed, religion and nationality such as poets, singers, musicians, dancers, artists, painters, novelists, photographers, business magnates, advertising giants, journalists, politicians, historians, builders, designers, and architects. Taj, the magnum opus of the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan continues to inspire the young and old, male and female, boy and girl, rich and poor, the illiterate and the learned as well as the masses and the intelligentia alike through ages.

Taj, the monument appearing as a standing ovation to the finest Moghul architecture on the banks of the River Yamuna and as an epitome of love, was designed and built by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan to commemorate the passionate love he had for his late wife Mumtaj Mahal. Builders, architects and designers are at a loss to understand how was this architectural marvel, an example of contemporary talent, masterly precision and perfection in geometrical design, made without the building and earth-moving equipments of modern age. Poets and artists understand that no stone other than white marble used to build Taj could have symbolized the magnificence and majesty of platonic love between Shah Jahan and Mumtaj Mahal.

Taj an epic in stone, is a monumental alabaster of beauty, love, sympathy, remorse, perseverance, and strength of mankind, an emphatic manifestation of expertise in architectural design and construction. The white colour is a fusion of phantasmagoria of colours that nature provides and exhibits the remorse of an ardent lover who wants to show to the world the intensity of his love for his beloved wife and lover departed. Many a lover may have wanted to erect a memorabilia
such as “Taj” for their lovers or spouses, but Shah Jahan succeeded in translating his dreams to reality which put India on world map for a special reason, Love. To appreciate the beauty of Taj, one should view the monument directly at sunrise, sunset or in moonlight or its reflection in Yamuna as Shah Jahan himself was destined to have a glimpse of Taj only as a reflected image seen in Yamuna when he was jailed in Agra Fort by Aurangazeb, his son.

Taj defines love and beauty, redefines and immortalizes relations between lovers, especially husband and wife, and showcases the divinity in such relations. Romancing the stones Shah Jahan guaranteed that anybody viewing Taj bathed in golden rays of the sun at dawn and dusk or shining in the silver mist of moonlight will be inspired to love, which is the driving force and energizer for man. Love can work magic and it has erected one of the Seven Wonders of the World which turned into an UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Taj Mahal, an ode to the greatest and most powerful emotion and phenomenon on earth, Love!
