In the former mining relics themselves a great vegetation and wildlife is to track down. In the Erzgebirge region rare species such as tiger lily and kingfisher can be found. Even the eagle owl has again set in the landscape.

On walking tours and trips by bicycle is the extensive grounds of the Erzgebirge, which lots of different mysteries and hidden castles, such as tourists along the road that crosses between Zwickau and Dresden, the whole Erzgebirge, or one of the historic narrow-gauge railways.

Popular winter destination
In particular, the cold season is related to the destination Erzgebirge. Very well constructed slopes and trails, but also the craftsmanship of Christmas pyramid or a mountain man characters have an international reputation and are a happy chosen gifts for friends.
